A few months ago I purchased my domain name. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it but it would be dumb for me to pass it up. I know there are other Shelby MacLeods out there so it wasn’t going to be available forever.
After that I asked the web what I should do with my domain. The web didn’t really give me an answer. Pfeffer and Anthony said they had ideas but Pfeffer is off building Foursquare apps and Anthony was chasing rainbows. So after 3 or so months I still had nothing.
Then I got the idea in my head that I could make my own site. I didn’t want a Blogger site as I already had one of those. I felt the urge or the need to make something on my own. I hadn’t made anything of my own in a long time as the last thing I made takes up all of my free time. But I felt like I had to do this to prove it to myself that I could.
So here I am today. I am live. It is not much yet but I am proud of myself nonetheless. It actually wasn’t that hard given that the web has lots of help sites and anytime I ran into a problem I could Google to find the answer. It probably took me 6 hours total to get this initial post live which I am sure is 300 times longer than it would take someone who actually knew what they were doing. But I did it all by myself!
DEPLOY!
how fun! i feel like i am climbing aboard a ride that i have no idea where it’s going or what i’ll see but i love the mystery. expectations are high over here shelby…dazzle me! (forgive me if this seems rude but may i suggest that your hyperlinks deploy in a new window so i don’t have to hit back on my browser and can quickly return to your own post? just making that request makes me feel kinda lazy but i blame the media.)
Thanks Tom, giving me homework already. I will see how I can do that for you. I am here to serve you.
I fully support this!

How about Lobster Line?
I can make a blog site for Lobster Line but I don’t think I am exactly ready for an ecommerce site.
Your clock on the replies is not correct. I did mine sometime before 7AM.

Thank you. Switched my time zone.
